Excerpt from the above book: George the youngest son of Jacob and Mary Crouse, latter settled at MT. Vernon, Ohio, where he entered in business. He visited the relatives in northwestern Ohio and northeastern Indiana in 1875. It is reported that he had a son who is a doctor, living near Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 1880 census shows George Crouse as Divorced, living in the home daughter and son-in-law Ester Ann and Timothy Ross. Possible?, as I find Catherine Crouse in the household of daughter and son-in-law Mary and Salamon Sapp in the 1880 census.
