    "William Weeks in 1652, Freeman, Dorchester 1665; In 1664 he and 100 others signed a petition to the General Court requesting that measures be taken to have the rights of the people confirmed. In 1674 he was Clerk of the Writs and Registrar, and was the "bold innovator" who restored the practice of calling the months by "heathen" names instead of by numbers."
