This family arrived in Queensland about 1883. Lived at Clifton on the Downs.
He was a chemist. Only one of this family married. (Ian Just)
Niven family No 61 which says; "William Just was born at 'Justfield', Newport.
He was seven years of age when his father died. He was educated at Newport
and Dundee and studies Medicine at Edinburgh University under Lord Lister. In
1883, accompanies by his wife, and his widowed mother, he left Scotland for
Australia, and there he established his new home at Brisbane. These were
pioneer days and he practised as a Doctor, Chemist, Dentist, and Veterinary
Surgeon. He was greatly respected. He died suddenly of haemorrhage of the
brain at 58 years of age".
