    Inbjury Proved to be Fatal

    E. Phelps, who was so badly hurt while filling a silo Mondaydied last night as a result of his injuries.

    The deceased was 67 years old and is survived by his widow andseveral children all of whom are grown. The funeral serviceswill be held tomorreo afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. Marshallofficiating and burial thence in Deepwood.

    The Gen. Joe Bailey Post will assist in the service.

    Mr. Phelps was filling a silo Monday afternoon when an explosionoccurred, throwing him in the cutter mangling him fearfully.Dr. Amerman was called and for a few days it was thought therewas a chance for his recovery but he grew worse last night.

    Mr. Phelps came here from Kansas some years ago and has beenresiding on the D.B. Combs place 5 miles northeast of town.
