Jan Marie Stanley Chapman

     CROWLEY -- Jan Chapman, 71, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009.
       Services: 10 a.m., Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Crowley, 509 Peach St., Crowley. Burial: Crowley Cemetery. Visitation: 6-8:00 p.m., Monday at First United Methodist Church of Crowley.
       Memorials: As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to Vitas Healthcare or First United Methodist Church of Crowley's Building Fund.
       Jan was born Feb. 9, 1938 in Fort Worth. She was a graduate of R.L. Paschal High School. She married Troy Wayne Chapman March 24, 1956 in Durant, Okla. They have lived in Crowley and been members of First United Methodist Church for 43 years. Jan was an active member of United Methodist Women, a volunteer with Crowley House of Hope and taught children's Sunday School for 40+ years.
       Jan was preceded in death by her father, Miles F. Stanley, II, brother, Miles F. "Mike" Stanley, III, sister, Maryland Sue Hall, and grandson, Nathan Karl Senne.
       Survivors: Loving husband of 53 years, Troy; son, Michael Wright-Chapman and wife, Kathy of Arlington; daughter, Kelly Wolzen and husband, Terry of Roanoke; daughter, Mary Frances Forbis and husband, Jack of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Matthew, Aaron, Megan and her husband, John, Janine, Terry Jr., Derek, Kurtis, Jake and Ashlyn; great-grandchildren, Jazmyne, John, Jason, and Colton; mother, Charley Belle Stanley; sister, Kathy Lee McNiel and husband, Jack; and numerous nieces and nephews.
