"MRS. GEORGE C. JAYNES, 79, DIES FRIDAY
Mrs. Eathyl Laura Jaynes, age 79, of route one died at 1:30 o'clock Friday morning in Samaritan Hospital in Macon where she had been a patient three days.
Funeral services were held at two o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Christie Funeral Chapel conducted by the La Plata Methodist Church. Burial was in the La Plata cemetery, Bearers were Parker Homes, Cleo McHenry, Vernard Hunsaker, Levi Bellmyer, Eddied Green and Harold Hawkins.
Mrs. Jaynes was born July 31, 1887 in Browning the daughter of Frank and Jennie (Brookshire) Stephenson. She was married to George Calvin Jaynes in Linn county on Jan. 10, 1910.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. E. D. (Almire) Kingcade, Westline, and Mrs. Wilma Jones, Harrisonville; six sons, John, of Santa Cruz, Calif., Lyle, of Elk Grove, Calif., Dean, of Bonner Springs, Kan., Vurl, of Whittier, Calif., Bob, of San Mateo, Calif., Harold, of Harrisonville; 14 grandchildren and one brother, Roy Stephenson, of Haileyville, Okla.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one son, who died in infancy. Mrs. Jaynes was a member of the North Salem Methodist church in Linn county."

ATTENDING JAYNES SERVICE
Those attending the Jaynes service Saturday from out-of-town were all the children who had not all been together since 1932. They were Mrs. E. D. Kingcade, Westline,, Mrs. Wilma Jones Harrisonville, John, Santa Cruz, Calif., Lyle, Elk Grove, Calif., Dean, Bonner Springs, Kan., Vurl, Whittier, Calif. Bob, San Mateo, Calif., and Harold of Harrisonville.
