FLORENCE — Wallace Henry Robey, 88, died Thursday, January 19, 2006, at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was born in Sacramento, Kentucky, a son of the late Charlie Butler and Mary McCartney Robey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Robert attended Western Kentucky University and was the owner and operator of Robey’s Wicker ‘N’ More in Florence.

He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Mr. Robey was predeceased by his wife, Alora Arlene Angell Robey, in 2005.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Dennison B. Robey and Mark Eugene Robey, both of Florence; a brother, William Owen Robey of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandchildren, Jason Hunter Robey, Spencer Robert Robey, Allison Denise Robey, and Julie Chandler Robey; several nieces and nephews.
