He was a member of Lake Avenue Baptist Church, Rochester, and Firs t Presbyterian Church, Lake Mary. He was a life member of Central Florida Retired Officers Association. He was a member of American Legion, Masonic Lodge 945, Rochester Engineering Society and U.S. Horse Cavalry Association. He was a member of Sem inole Chapter of the National Audubon Society. Survivors: sons, Robert W., Rochester, James A., Milwaukee; daughter, Anne Adams, Melbourne; stepdaughters, Lois Wright, Gulfport, Jeanne Robertson, Clearwater; stepson, Tom Connolly, Celebration; num erous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gramkow Funeral Home, Sanford.

Mr. Lathrop was an engineer for Eastman Kodak, Rochester, NY, where he lived most of his life. He move d to Sanford, FL in 1989. He was born May 18, 1910 in Rochester, NY. He was a member of Lake Ave. Baptist Church, Rochester and the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Mary. A life member of the Central Florida Retired Officers' Assoc., American Legio n PUFL for 40 years, a Ret. Lt. Col. Artillery World War II, Masonic Lodge #945 of Rochester, the Rochester Engineering Society 'Member Emeritus', Central Florida Regional Hospital Auxiliary, the U.S. Horse Cavalry Assoc. and Eagle Scout in 1926 , given a Silver Beaver Award in 1963, he was Viking District Chairman of the Eagle Scouts Otetiana Council for four years, Central Florida Council Assoc. member from 1981-1983, Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi, Honorary Band Fraternity and a Lif e Member of the National PTA. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and a life member of the Alumni Assoc. He was a member of the Seminole Chapter of the Nat'l Audubon Society. He is predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Jeannette an d his wife of 17 years, Josephine, a brother, Norman and a son, John E. He is survived by two sons, Robert W. Lathrop of Rochester, NY, James A. Lathrop of Milwaukee, WI; one daughter, Anne Adams of Melbourne, FL; step-daughters, Lois Wright of Gu lfport, FL and Jeanne Robertson of Clearwater, FL; step-son, Tom Connolly of Celebration, FL and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements by Gramkow Funeral Home, 500 East Airport Blvd., Sanford, FL.
