This is the story of my Georgia family. Most of my ancestors first settled in Virginia, but some initially came through Maryland, Pennsylvania or Massachusets. These early Colonists migrated south and established farms in the Carolinas. When land became available in north Georgia in the 1790's and early 1800's, three of my grandparents' families settled in this newly opened wilderness, though one remained in central NC. We are truly a proud Southern Family.

1. Mary Farmer was born 27 OCT 1723 in Deep River, Randolph Co, NC, and died 06 FEB 1791 in Randolph Co, NC. She was the daughter of 2. Henry Farmer and 3. Sarah Ward. She married John Moon 1740 in Neuse Mm, Craven, North Carolina, USA, son of James Moon and Agnes Priestly. He was born 04 AUG 1717 in Deep River, Randolph Co, NC, and died 1795 in Randolph Co, NC.

2. Henry Farmer was born 1696 in Henrico, Virginia, USA, and died 1753 in Chesterfield, Virginia, USA.

3. Sarah Ward was born 1690 in Chesterfield, Virginia, USA, and died 1753 in Chesterfield, Virginia, USA.

Child of Sarah Ward and Henry Farmer is:

1. i. Mary Farmer was born 27 OCT 1723 in Deep River, Randolph Co, NC, and died 06 FEB 1791 in Randolph Co, NC.
