2.  ii.Amasa HULBERT was born 1830 in New York, and died 27 JAN 1871. He married Mary BACKUS AFT 1860, daughter of John BACKUS. She was born 1837 in Germany, and died 30 AUG 1908 in Charles City, IA. He married Penny KALKINS.
