      Oh dear! marriage, how it claims our chums, our 'side-kicks' one by one. Yours so lately and mine a year ago. Truly, Darling, could you ever love me so? I cannot press for the answer dear. Having been with me no more than you have. But absence for me has only made my love grow stronger. T' was love at first sight darling and it has lasted for more than a year and the sweetest words that I could hear, would be I do, and, I will be thine. Darling can I ever have such happiness? If not, life's not worth the living, and Ah! there I go again, pressing for that answer, that you once , so kindly and so sweetly wrote me, that I must hear from your own lips. Oh dear! to kiss those lips tonite I'd give my life. Just for one glorious thrilling hour with you darling. I could live a life time and die happy in that time. Ah! Services were held here for Alice Day Bagley, daughter of the late A. J. and Amelia Atkinson. Her five children were here with some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. These included here three sons, Marshall Bagley, Anchorage, Alaska, Billy and his wife, Dorothy, and three children, and Eddie and his wife, Laura, all of Silver City, and two daughters, Anelle Rory (Rury), Gig Harbor, Washington, and Pat Bassett and her husband, Roger, Westminster, CO, and the Bassett children, Dale Bassett, Loveland, CO, Judy Acerman and son, Casper, Wyoming, and Laura and Shane Meek and two children, Denver. Other relatives were a sister, Edna Duplentis and daughter, Jackie, Albuquerque, and cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Sultemeier, Espanola, Mr. and Mrs. Lonzie Sultemeier, Belen, Sue Callahan and Harold Sultemeier, Albuquerque, Helen Sloan, Claunch and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Heard, El Paso. Mrs. Fanny Brown came from Albuquerque.

          Services for Alice Day Bagley were held in the school recreation room, Saturday, September 15 with Mr. Larry Pillars officiating. A memorial was given Friday evening at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Silver City. Casket bearers in Corona were Melvin Sultemeier, Brent Sultemeier, Clint Leary Sultemeier, John Tracey, Byron Yancey and Myron Yancey. Honorary pallbearers were Ernest Sultemeier, Frank Sultemeier, Lonzie Sultemeier, Harold Sultemeier, William H. Sultemeier, Richard Sultemeier, Mark Sloan and Arthur Finley. Internment was in the Corona Cemetery under the direction of Harris-Hanlon Mortuary. Arrangements in Silver City were under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home.

          Alice Day Atkinson, daughter of the late A. J. and Amelia Sultemeier Atkinson, was born July 30, 1909 in El Paso. She died September 13 in Silver City where she had resided for the last 14 years. She was married to William M. Bagley in 1926 in Corona and the family resided there untl 1954.

          Mrs. Bagley is survived by one sister, Edna Duplentis, of Albuquerque, and by her children: Anelle Rury, Gig Harbor, WA, Patricia Louise Bassett, Westminister, CO, William A. Bagley and Robert Edward Bagley, Silver City, and John Marshall Bagley, Anchorage, Alaska, and by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Bagley, in 1977 and by her youngest son, Kenneth Gordon Bagley in 1973.
