Much of this database was compiled from information found in an old Family Bible. The major surnames found were Sherman, Spencer, Kirtland, Post, Windsor. The Bible was not dated but the earliest birth recorded was from 1806. The Bible was published and sold by Kimber and Sharpless, at their bookstore, No. 8 South 4th St., Philadelphia. Stereotyped by E. White, New York. Add'l sources used in this database come from the IGI, and book "The New England Shermans" by Roy V. Sherman (1974).
